Portimão

Portimão is the largest city in the western part of the Algarve. The older part is known for its variety of shops, wide choice of typical restaurants, and its famous grilled sardines.

You can board a boat trip up the river to the medieval town of Silves, or a big game fishing adventure trip on the Atlantic Ocean.

Praia da Rocha offers a wide selection of pubs, bars, restaurants, discotheques and a casino. The modern  marina is now one of the main attractions and the neighboring beach offers a wide choice of water sports.
